Time is flying

Here I sit updating my blog with only 2 presents bought for Christmas.  I'd  rather someone poke me in the eye than get out to shop.  Fact is on Wednesday, we are going fishing so MAYBE Pete will take pity on me and shop with me .  I've GOT the lists for everyone just can NOT make myself get out in the crowd with those crazy people.  NOT ALL people are crazy just those out shopping besides its 24 degrees here. RIGHT!  reason number two - TOO COLD.  never too cold to fish though.  Ok I'm done. Pity party over. Just thought I'd share

Red 's good!

Folks - Proud to report that red does wash and certainly does dry better and faster- YEA for me.

Had a good week-end nothing going on that was a crisis so we just kind of did some stuff and didn't so more stuff.

Sorry Robin that you were so busy and I thought about coming to help but was afraid if I drove down there - it would rain and screw up everything so I helped you out by NOT coming :)) = pretty clever huh?

OK Christian drive to school tomorrow and the rest of us go to work or first grade.

Amy and Aric are good they are Fifth and 6th graders and then Gage is the senior

Some out some IN

WEll today I am geting a new "RED washer and Dryer" had to have a new set and I decided on those front loading ones with the pedestal so we will see. I've got 30 days to decide if the Red makes them clean better :)

Christian starts driving to school on Monday- Rachel and one of her old school pals traded cars for their girls- Chris wanted an automatic and the other girls seriously wanted a standard - the cars were pretty much identical except for that so - everyone seems happy now- we will see. Chris got new tires and brakes and the other girl got a wash job .

They was all gone to a friends house who is on a timeshare at Piney Shores in Conroe. bye bye = have a lovely time with out me :::::)))))))))

I DID NOT win the lottery Friday night and that was a HUGE disappointment. but no one in Texas did either-s o all my working buddies will be right back there with me on Monday.

Wii had a great time

Hi there! Wii are champs at different sports! Rachel is champ of Bowling - Christian of Archery and Faith of Boxing. I am gonna get to play , I just know it just not sure when!! WE had a nice visit today at my sister's house- My Nephew came in from Florida for his birthday and we had a nice family get together complete with pool party- she has a beautiful backyard pool and everyone came and we had a great time as our last day before school starts. There are three first graders all excited about going back to school and NOT being in Kindergarten anymore- seems that is like a rite of passage. Christian and Gage will be seniors this year - not sure how my grand kids got so old but they did.!

Speaking of Gage- his band- Red October Sky will be playing in Humble this coming week-end and I am going to go listen to him scream- that is the kind of band that he has- one of those kind where he screams- so I will go - let him see me and listen to one song of screaming and then I can say I have heard his band play. That should be worth points right?

WE had another great day of rain and that is a plus.

OK off to help get everyone ready for that first day and then I get to leave early in the morning and let Rachel deal with the chaos.

Work and Rain

Too much work going on around here- My co-worker is off to San Jose Ca. to visit family and friends for 2 weeks. CRAZY. It has been so busy at work and That is a great thing- but by about 3Pm I am brain dead and no longer able to communicate with anyone except in squeaks n groans. GOOD News almost 4 inches of rain in the last two days. This will do wonders for a dying yard and a drying up pond! Christian has decided that she is not capable of driving a stick shift , so I am not insuring her anymore - she and her mom can work it out. Mom gave in too easily. The girl has had the opportunity to drive all summer and has not, and now chooses to well I'm not sure what but it didn't set well with me so I said here ya go - go pay for your own stuff, if you are on my payroll , MY RULES- Your own then you can set the rules.- My horoscope this morning said something about Cleaning House today- MAYBE it wasn't the dusting type of clean :))))
Anyway when everyone is mad at me - it is very peaceful, so I'm gonna go read a new Nora Roberts book

Trying out new stuff

Well the pictures are nice but not what I am looking for so we will keep trying till I get it right- I do like the new colors. Amy and Aric went away on the side- I will get them back when I decide how to do this. Rained again today- I think my grass is gonna make it. It is certainly much cooler this afternoon- thank you Lord.

2nd day back to work

WHY did I come back- ????????? these people have no idea there is fun out there to be doing!! I NEED to go back to the beach and this time bring back -wait.. no.. if I go back to the beach --THIS time I'M NOT coming BACK! Surely one person on the deck can't be noticed or take up much room- I certainly do not need to eat for months :( Anyway all have returned to some sad sense of order. Today Christian went to drive her car- which is a standard and she had so far ignored the opportunity to learn to drive. Now school is starting and Mom is not giving up HER truck so Christian was out practicing . Poor Faith - gets to rides in the back and suffer the learning curve with Christian. She did really well and then apparently got too confident and couldn't get home from the store. so much tears and yelling from those drivers that did not know she was new to stick shift driving..well sigh - we will attempt to go do this again tomorrow. I will be the one with the short straw to help her get from here to there in one fluid motion. I know because Wayne taught me how to drive his stick shift truck by putting me in his truck and leaving me there to get home. 3 attempts to get around a block, when I could see our house and him laughing - well I DID get home and learned to drive a stick- so tomorrow- I will take pity on Christian and be much more supportive..I hope

Tueday- 2 days to go

ALMOST ISLAND time for the Harris bunch- woo hoo. ALSO I have decided that most everyone I know is Face book now so I will probably do most of my communicating on that but maybe this will be notes to self or family somewhere down the road.
