IT's Moving TIme

Well the Figueiredo's are moving the "lake House" our 5th wheel trailer from Lake Leon down to Lake Conroe!  Charlotte is Moving again? Right?  But it is a happy move, We have enjoyed the Lake but it has been over 100 degrees for almost 70 days and it is no longer possible for us to launch our Little 2 man boat, and we have family and many friends i the Houston, Conroe area and YEA my church FOTW.

Pete's son Chad is going to lease our Hurst house for a while so we don"t have to worry about selling it right now just emptying out all the 'Le Crap" that is there, OMGosh that means more moving for Charlotte.  WHO moved ALL of her stuff up here last year, but what a BLESSED Year it has been..  We will only be about 3 and  1/2 hours from the Hurst kiddo's so hopefully they will come visit us.  WE will be right at the Lake in Conroe, If you sit right behind our trailer you can see the Lake and we have not had that before. It is less than 100 yards from the lake and where we will be living, looks like a small RV HOME community.  Everyone has made porches and has grass yards and made it look very home.  Pete loves yard work so He will be a happy boy for quite a while.

I am not posting  this on facebook  just because this is for those special people in our life that we'd like to know we are coming back to town

HOT BEYOND WORDS

It is soooooooooooo hot!  How could I have moved from 200% humidity and 100 degree weather to 25% humidity and 108 degrees in the shade.  OH  that's right I fell in love and got married and moved in by choice.

WELL, LOVE THE MAN, Blessed with the marriage and not so happy about the HOT, FREAKEN  HOT!!!

Pete and I are going to be Great=Grand Parents in November, Christian and Michael are having a son, Connor Wayne Adams will be due around Thanksgiving/  They have just this week-end moved into their very first place together.  How many remember that very place first you had?  Was it tiny like mine?  Did you try to grocery shop at your parents house? Were handmedowns the greatest things ever? and OH the JOY of that first purchase made.

Where have I been?

Well Pete and I were taking caring of my very ill father.  Thanks for all of your prayers, his physical state is much better.

We have also tried to squeeze in a great deal of fishing.  Pete and my brother in law TIM fished a tournament on Lake Conroe and Pete won their entry fee back.  I caught a 5 # bass just for fun before the tournament.  That would have been a bigger money fish but hey. I'm just saying probably was. :)  Carol and Tim came up to the Lake house and we had a great few days after their daughter, Ashley graduated from Baylor, we celebrated with much margarita's and cards over their fortune returning. oh yes Pete and Tim fished some more, right?

Now we are back in Hurst, and Pete is going to be working for this whole week. May 30 thru June 3.   This is such a change as Pete and I usually spend 6 days a week together , 24/6 and he has only been working on Saturday's for a long while and we really like that schedule.  Who gave employee's vacations anyway?

So now we have my niece graduated from Baylor, Faith from 2nd grade and 2 concert piano recital's coming up for Madi and Mason.

Our First anniversary is coming up and where to go,  so many places on MY list and none of them on Pete's list :)

April Fool it is indeed

So hope all have survived the First of April.  The Lord blessed me with NO incidents.  Christian and Michael came up for one night and the visit was too brief and then they were gone.  Christian starts work tomorrow at the local food bank in Conroe.  She has volunteered there for a long time --Now she will be a Paid employee  WOO HOO for "C"

Pete is actually working just one day a week and we seem to WANT to spend the rest of the time at the lake.  BUT My father has been really  ill and there were a couple of times we thought he was not going to make it .  Pete and I stayed in Sugarland for 3 weeks, fighting hospitals, doctors and the staff to just keep him alive.  Now I do believe that if it is God's will he will survive. But that is a story that will take days to type so not today.

We have been fishing this past week, well let me rephrase.  I was a great deck hand.  Pete was doing the catching and I apparently was just feeding the fish my minnows and putting his fish in the basket.  We are a great team. :))Finally got to go see Robin's store Mimosa Rose.  It is all I expected it to be and much more.

So much snow and cabin fever

OMG.  Snow since Monday and no temps even close to above freezing and since I do not know how to drive on ice, I've been home all week and on Thursday had chopped, cooked and made everything I possibly could make .  Pete apparently got the message and WOW we went for a trip to Walmart.  I have never been so excited to see other people and it felt like FREEDOM.  Sort of  like when you always had a car then its gone and you feel trapped but honestly you know you are not..  It is now Saturday day before Superbowl and it is going to be another week of this stuff.  Yesterday we got 7 more inches of snow it was very pretty to look at but keeps the cold in and they say more snow tomorrow during the superbowl.  that should make for fun .  Ok I should be drooling sometime next week.

Middle of January

Here we are in the middle of January and I'm hoping spring is close but probably not.  Saw Snow and teen degree weather this week.  Nice part was Christian was here to share with us . We have had a very nice week of granddaughter and Nannie time.  Have not had that for a long while with her.  Faith coming up this Friday for a fast trip of Nannie and Papa time but will get to see her also.  In March Stephanie and her family are coming up for Spring break.  That will be awesome for us to get time with Amy and Aric who are growing so much.  Hoping they will get to know Pete and want to come back and visit us.

Happy New Year

Happy Happy New Year in case I actually missed someone.   I finally Did go Christmas shopping by myself and lived AND wrapped up all the presents.  Then trekked down to Conroe for a Repair the house trip and Christmas at my sisters.  WE broke tradition and had Mexican food and wow how easy was all of that - no hours  of Waiting for turkey and dressing to come together and everyone was really happy and got to actually visit and we had about 30 people there as usual but Nice to have Stephanie and her family with us and then  Pete for me :) We all went to Church Christmas eve with Steph and family, Rach and family and Pete and I and  so we have a nice picture of everyone squinting in the sun :))))). But a lovely picture still  First one of My Conroe Children with Pete so it is precious to me. Stephanie and Aaron really liked him and Amy and Aric - well they were warming up by the next day Christmas so - Thank you God for all my blessings.and all of my wonderful friends.

Time is flying

Here I sit updating my blog with only 2 presents bought for Christmas.  I'd  rather someone poke me in the eye than get out to shop.  Fact is on Wednesday, we are going fishing so MAYBE Pete will take pity on me and shop with me .  I've GOT the lists for everyone just can NOT make myself get out in the crowd with those crazy people.  NOT ALL people are crazy just those out shopping besides its 24 degrees here. RIGHT!  reason number two - TOO COLD.  never too cold to fish though.  Ok I'm done. Pity party over. Just thought I'd share

Luv n hugs to all

THANKSGIVING- what a wonderful word

Such a wonderful word full of promise and blessings and all of God's gifts to us all and a reminder of them.  This year brings thanks for Pete, my husband who  is full of love for all that I have and his family that loves me back.  Thank you Father for this precious man in my life.  We have been going to the lake quite a bit and I can actually say a few time I've "smoked" Pete at fishing - NOT OFTEN but I do have pictures :))))!!!  We will be spending Thanksgiving in Hurst and setting a new FAMILY tradition here of decorating the Christmas tree as a new family.  I love to have the tree up early and then down right after Christmas.  Then we started adding up all of our NEW FAMILY for Christmas presents.  Did I say I was blessed with all the new family?  I am :)) Pete got the whole HUGE family surprise the most . Gotta love me and all that comes with me!  He just got blessed with about 15 more people that he had ever expected to have. Added to this Rachel and the girls came up a few weeks back for the Nascar race and below are some pics.  Pete's first Nascar races and we had such a great time with Todd and Cherish on Friday and Rach, Christian and Faith on Sunday. Faith's man won the race which made it ultra cool

Changes for Christian

Was just reading some of my older posts and realized needed to update Christian's status. She returned from the Coast Guard - with That was not the right thing for her and now she is attending Lone Star College to get back into the college groove, which is where she realized she should have been headed. She has reacquainted with a long time friend Amanda and it is a blessing they are together at school

FINALLY BACK !

Ok boys and girls- finally got everything back so I could update my blog. JEZZZ this TIME I wrote down my information so I could get back on without CRS and the password thing.

ANYWAY update from May. This wonderful man in this picture with me has now become my husband as of July 2010. What a wonderful life this has become. I have moved to Hurst Texas to be with my husband and everyone else is still in the Houston area. That part was hard to leave everyone but I DO SO love this man that the decision was not hard and had the full support of my family. I have also become a homemaker full time. Now THAT took some adjustments but I've about got the hang of keeping house, cooking for my man and being loved again. WOW. Pete and I have bought a travel trailer and moved it to the lake up here. WE both love to fish and Pete is "practicing" retiring so we go for a few days at a time "usually" every other week at least. We also just got back from Savannah- a delayed Honeymoon, Savannah is absolutely beautiful and when you see some of the pics, you can just tell we had a great time. Now that I've found where the heck the blog was lost at, THANKS ROBIN!!!! I'll be more faithful. Luv n hugs

AMAZING WEEK-END!!

This week-end was Christian's Happy 18th b-day, her graduation party and going away party all in one. Well It took two solid days of cleaning to even make the place presentable but mission "sort of accomplished". BUT my "man friend" came down to visit for the week-end and wow did that MAKE the week-end special. We never ran out of things to talk about and he was so helpful by cooking and helping to clean up. A man that cooks and cleans - WHOA he has my heart beating and yes he does. It is great to feel first of all and then feel alive and sincerely happy is awesome and honestly beyond what ever I thought I would have again.

Not sure where this is gonna go as he lives far away but wow this moment, at this time is awesome

smiling

How strange the last two weeks have been in my life. I've reacquainted with an old "friend" and it is simply like 40 years just had not gone by. There is not a day when I don't have to charge my phone and I'm loving it. Some one who calls and drives with me the hour to work and then some afternoons talks with me the hour coming home. Oh yeah then there are the couple of hours we talk while I'm on the porch. He lives up by Dallas so that is a BIG BUMMER but wow to be wanted and missed is pretty awesome - had pretty much decided that part of my life was over and not going to be repeated and now I am so looking forward to each new day and to this week-end . He is coming down for Christian's grad party and will meet most of my family- well talk about baptism by fire- if they don't scare him off then he is a keeper. I find myself smiling alot these days and that is pretty neat. Well I should get back to work just wanted to share with you, RObin as you are pretty much the only one who reads these besides me. He wants to take me to Savanna,Ga in Sept and I am so seriously thinking of going :)))))

Continued New Beginnings

Well its been over a week and my friend and I are still chattering like 40 years never happened. It is unusual for me to have a man to "Chat" with but I like it! I never had to recharge my cell phone because i used up the whole battery in one phone call but now I do and I like that also. Next week he is coming down for Christians' grad party and then I guess we will see if we have sparks and ignition. I'm thinking yeah we will :) and I'm gonna like that as well a whole lot. Rachel and Christian seem to be fine with my guest coming but we will see when he gets to OUR home if they can deal with another man being at our home. My hopes are that they will be accepting, if not WE will be patient. It is so scary good right now, please Lord let it continue.

Beginnings

Thank you Facebook for someone finding me. An OLD OLD friend from High school looked me up on Facebook and emailed me. WELL this is day 3 and we have talked about 10 hours. Apparently lots to catch up on and wow there is a little heart beat starting again. That is a very cool thing when your heart has been in shut down mode for a LONG time. SO here's to new beginnings and ????!!!!

Hello remember me?

WELL so much has happened since I last updated my blog but mostly the reason it wasn't updated is because I forgot my password and my email changed. CRS BIG TIME!

Anyway it is almost May and things are chaotic at the Harris household!!!Christian will turn 18, have Prom, award ceremonies and graduate. Then she has joined the Coast Guard and will go off to boot camp on June 15th. There is gonna be some severe separation anxiety at our house very soon. Faith has no concept of how long 8 weeks is - so she thinks Sissy will be gone just a couple of days. I hope Rachel is ready for some serious bonding time with her 7 year old :)))

Christian decided to join the Coast Guard and get her chosen field paid for by them. She has chosen to become a Marine Biologist and they have Marine Bio tech training thru the CG and then if she so chooses she will have 4 years of college paid for by Uncle Sam. Scary that you can be that smart at 17.

Faith made all "A" honor roll - Thank goodness conduct is not part of that- she honestly can talk to the walls somedays and apparently has and gotten in trouble for it. She is a natural born chatterbox.

I don't get to see the other grandkids so I wish I could update you on them - but they are loved nonetheless. OH Gage chose not to graduate from high school this year as the teachers are too dumb and school is boring..so someday there will be a lesson learned from this but ...not right now

RUMOR has it.. I turned 60

Contrary to all my grumpiness and complaining- damn if I didn't turn 60 anyway. Actually it was not soooo bad- My family threw a surprise birthday party for me and wow was I surprised. Got to see good friends and got presents also :))) and had Mexican food. Mexican food AND presents well that made it perfect.

Heard from my Life long friend- Susie who will shortly be the same age as me- hey what ARE best friends for if not to share some tacky things??

Love you all and thanks for being here

Lazy day

Sitting here with my best almost 7 year old gal- Faith- we are watching the NASCAR race- my man Carl Edwards is NOT having a great day but unless you are Jimmie Johnson -no one else is either- horrible wreck earlier with Joey Logano- God bless him he walked away from rolling his car 8 times- it was scary- Faith's favorite is Denny Hamlin in the #11 car.

We watched the Texans game and we thought they were going to pull it off but didn't . I think they got a BAD call at the end but they didn't win so :( but neither did the Titans and they are last in our division so all is not lost yet.

We didn't get much done this week-end and I had huge plans but they got changed so...new week new goals
love to all
